Research on the Detection and Measurement of Roughness of Dam Concrete Layers Using 3D Laser Scanning Technology

The roughness of the interlayer concrete, which is an important index for construction dams, affects mechanical properties interface between new and old concrete. traditional monitoring method cannot satisfy field measurements. Therefore, this paper proposes a concrete surface measurement based on 3D laser scanning technology implements point cloud calculations. Two layers specimens with same mix proportion were poured 28 days apart, splitting tensile strength test superimposed specimen was carried out. Four groups experiments (MR-S, MR-N, MR-15, MR-35) tested interlaminar nine 150 mm cubic 3rd, 7th, 14th, 28th days, respectively. Filling volume, mean amplitude, area expansion rate, normal angle std. dev., curvature dev. measured in study. results showed that as increased, did flushing pressure. after it solidified increased age. At MR-15 higher than MR-35. amplitude rough could replace filling volume index. calculation calculating proven by to have good performance.
